Yet another appliance not performing to expectations... Brand new Panasonic 42" plasma television in our house for only 6 weeks, suddenly not working. Power light blinks red 7 times. Quick search on the web reveals this is probably a power supply failure and Panasonic has had a bad reputation in some circles for this occuring.... the seven flashes (blinks) of death! Lodged a service request with Panasonic / AWA in Adelaide. Lets see what happens next. I am thinking that replacement of the power supply with a better quality one may be preferable to a new TV with possibly the same crappy power supply.... Don't expect a new TV will be offered anyway....
